Project 60 - Preparation > Creation > Recreation
The village hall management committee has agreed to embark on a funding campaign with the aim of re-building the older section of the hall - the main hall. This follows on from the previously successful Project 50 fund-raising campaign. This enabled various upgrades of the hall structure and facilities.
To kick off this campaign, we are looking to find experienced help in this endeavour by appointing two volunteers for the roles listed below:-
Development Appeal Secretary
Should have extensive contact details within the donor community locally (probably means that the candidate will be a senior banker, lawyer or accountant, maybe recently retired), and willing to help organise the necessary fund-raising campaigns for the rebuilding of the hall.
Will be responsible for the following:-
Liaising with donors (Big Lottery Fund, WREN, CWAC, local banks, insurers, etc.)
Develop funding campaigns, the main one being the main hall rebuilding (Project 60).
Develop and arrange fund-raising events.
Should live within the catchment area for the village hall, for preference.
Project 60 Development Manager
Should have extensive experience of managing similar sized (£300k to £400k) construction projects - meaning that the candidate will be either a developer or architect or surveyor.
Will be responsible for the following:-
Finalising the design requirements for the new main hall.
Co-ordinating the planning approval
Assisting with the funding from the grant donors (along with the Development Appeal Secretary).
Managing the construction phase.
Handover to the Hall Committee.
Ideally the candidate will live in the community already, but this may be difficult to achieve, and may not be a requirement.
If you are interested in either position, or know someone who might be, then please contact in the first instance:
